CANPACK is a leading manufacturer of aluminum beverage cans . We have the latest manufacturing equipment and control technology. We are able to produce very high-quality cans in 15cl, 25cl, 33cl, 44cl and 50cl sizes (other size cans are made within Can Pack Group).
Use counterbalance forklift truck - will be an advantage.
To inspect the technical state of the machines.
· To report any technical faults and breakdowns.
To carry out periodic inspections of the used equipment.
To keep constant production in accordance to quality and quantity specifications.
· To keep the working area clean and tidy.
To register quality and technical records.
Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO 14001 and BRC procedures and guidelines on health & safety.
Comply with all health & safety regulations, rules, procedures, and policies.
Always using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Co-operation with supervisor and other workers on both production lines.
Support other leaders / operator's colleagues in the continuation of production at both lines, for example varnish changes etc. Able to provide absence cover if required and help during changeovers etc., on both production lines.
To keep records and if required samples of any quality issues.
To assist with the control of production and quality specification.
· To keep maintain continuity of production.
Cooperation with Other Departments.
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Ability to complete documentation.
Previous machine operator experience desirable.
Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and follow specifications.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Pay rate commensurate with experience
